My Speech

I think children all over the world should have the same rights as we do. Here are some of the rights: clean water, medical care, healthy and nourishing food. At Nelson Central School we have all of the rights and in poor countries some children don’t get medical care when they need it.

Children in Kroo Bay don’t have a wide variety of food. Also in Kroo Bay the people don’t have supermarkets. The children might only get one meal a day. People in Kroo Bay cook outside on three big rocks and some sticks.

In Kroo Bay children have run down houses. People in Kroo Bay build their houses from scrap metal and clay. When the Crocodile River floods, it floods their houses and they have to move out. The children in Kroo Bay have no electricity.

Save the Children helps poor children in poor countries all around the world. I would like to buy plumpy nut for a month from the Save the Children wish list.

Please tell your friends and families about Save the Children so they might buy something from the wish list to help poor children’s rights become a reality

How to Make a Fossil

Fossils are very hard to find and very precious so we made some.
You need:
Clay,
Shells,
Plaster of Paris,
A small plastic container,
Gold spray paint,
Black paint,
A cloth,
Thin wire.
Here is how to make them.
First you press the clay till it is 1½ cm deep.
Next you push your shells in and take them out.
Then you make a hook with your thin wire so that when it is finished you can hang it up.
Now ask an adult to pour the plaster of Paris in. Once you have poured the plaster of Paris in you put your loop in.
Next you wait for a few days then you take the plaster of Paris out.
Once you have finished that you get the gold spray paint and spray it on.
Next you get your cloth and black paint and you put the black paint on. Then quickly rub it off.
When you have done that you are finished.
