Its Maori Language week

Cross Country

It was the day of the school Cross Country race. We had been practising for weeks and weeks. Once the bell rang for the end of lunch it was time for the Cross Country. Our class walked out o the front field in our year groups. Viv took some tarpaulins out so we didn’t get too muddy.

When it was time to start year six girls went first and it came all the way down to the year ones. Dave snapped the wood together when it was time to start each race.

Once it was our go I went up to the starting line slowly. Then Dave suddenly smacked the blocks together. In the end I ended up coming eleventh; same as last year.

I was a bit disappointed but it was so much fun. I hope next year I come in the top ten.
